Our unit was leaky, and since you have to vigorously shake it for 2 mins, it makes a HUGE mess. We ended up having to wrap it in paper towels prior to each use. The "vigorousness" with which this unit has to be shaken is physically demanding for an adult, and virtually impossible for a child to sustain for 2 minutes straight. Even after all that work, we still didn't get much of a slushy.
